Report: Mudryk agrees personal terms on five-year deal with Arsenal, talks with Shakhtar Donetsk over new bid ongoing
Mudryk to Arsenal is inching closer and closer...
Arsenal’s top target and Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk has agreed to the personal terms on a five-year contract with the Gunners, reports the Ukrainian publication Sport Arena.
Sport Arena says that Arsenal and Shakhtar will continue negotiating the transfer fee for the 21-year-old, as the Gunners are ready to submit a new and improved offer after their initial bid of €60 million was rejected last week.
However, shortly after the Sport Arena report, Foot Mercato noted that Arsenal submitted a new offer to Shakhtar for Mudryk, and “negotiations are currently underway on this new proposal, and all parties are confident.”
Additionally, Journalist Steve Kay of The Transfer Exchange reported on Twitter that Arsenal’s offer was improved, and the north London side is “happy” to pay the €75 million (€60m, €15m add-ons) for Mudryk. In contrast, talks over the payment structure for the add-ons will continue.
Mudryk was watching Arsenal’s match against Brighton over the weekend and shared the image on Instagram.
He wants the move… badly… Let’s see where this goes, and with the window now OPEN, things should start picking up rather quickly.
