Shakhtar Donetsk expected to reject Arsenal's second bid for Mykhaylo Mudryk
The Daily Mail reports Shakhtar Donetsk are expected to reject Arsenal's improved offer of £62 million for winger Mykhaylo Mudryk ahead of talks with Chelsea over the 22-year-old.
Shakhtar have said they want closer to £85m for the talented winger, and with Chelsea's interest, Shakhtar could get an offer closer to their valuation.
The Gunners have submitted two offers to Shakhtar for Mudryk, with the first bid believed to be worth around £52 million, which was quickly turned down. The second proposal came a few days later, a reported package of £62 million, which is set to be rejected by the Ukrainian side.
Chelsea are set to have talks with Shakhtar within the next 24 hours, as Shakhtar's club chief executive Sergei Palkin and director of football, Darijo Srna, are in London for a meeting.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Srna would be at the Chelsea vs Manchester City match on Thursday ahead of the meeting with the Blues.
